TO bike.
After more than 5 years of carrying out our bike repairs, bike maintenance and other activities in the open air, sometimes in the dark, rain and cold, we’ve finally found a home for our Temple Raiders. We now have a place where our Raiders can work on their bikes, out of the rain and cold, and we’ll soon be able to provide them with all the tools and equipment needed to carry out the repairs they need in order to keep active on their bikes.
But that’s not all, we aim to provide a new community resource where our local community can access a range of bike repairs and servicing, buy professionally refurbished bikes at low cost and have a place to donate their unwanted bikes, bike tools and other bike-related equipment and in doing so support our work encouraging more local people to get into cycling.
A new resource for our young people and our local community
Why TO Bike?
-
TO bike will provide a great space for our Temple Raiders to store their bikes, tools and equipment for use in group activities and with other community groups.
-
TO bike will provide a bike recycling centre where local people can: donate bikes and accessories; access low-cost recycled and refurbished bikes and accessories; learn bike repair and maintenance skills - through volunteering and other activities; access support advice about cycling activities; create and join in new cycling groups.
We need your support!
We need the support of the local community. First of all we need to raise the funds to get TO bike up and running as soon as possible - to employ a shop manager, bike mechanics, fit-out the shop with specialist tools and equipment. You can donate online from this page.
Ongoing local support will be needed to keep TO bike working for the local community. By donating pre-loved and unwanted bikes and accessories you will be supporting us to support local people and the environment.

You can also support us as a Volunteer Bike Mechanic, working alongside our bike mechanics and youth workers.
"Since joining TO's Temple Raiders group my son has found a great interest in bikes and bike related activities. It has given him opportunities that I could not have given him, such as skills in bike maintenance, a chance to volunteer repairing bikes for a local school and the opportunity to take part in BMX racing, as well as a visit to the BMX track at the Olympic park in London."
Parent of group member.
A New Team
TO bike is a new venture for TO and to make it a success we will be looking to add new roles to our team. We want as many of these roles to be filled by local people that reflect the makeup of our local community and are particularly keen to encourage more women and people from minority communities to get involved in cycling and our work.
We will be advertising all the new roles as soon as we can. Please look at our ‘Work for TO’ page on our website for news about any new roles.
