We work city-wide, but we meet young people where they are (rather than expecting them to come to us). This means we use local community centres for meetings and as pick up points, eg. Allendale Community Centre, Byker and Carnegie Building, Benwell.
The out-of-doors activities take place anywhere that is suitable - usually local parks, the beach, green space on the edge of the city, or further afield in Northumberland, the Lake District, etc. We will go wherever is appropriate for the groups’needs.

Try Tyneside Outdoors
As the name suggests, these programmes offer young people the chance to take part in taster sessions purposefully designed at having fun out of doors rather than reaching great heights, literally! The aim of these programmes is to introduce the outdoors in a fun and informal way, setting the scene for bigger and better things to come.
Whilst designed with TO youth groups in mind as the ideal progression route for young people to go on to develop their enjoyment of the outdoors, these programmes can be delivered as short term, stand alone projects for schools and youth groups wishing to bring a taste of the outdoors into their groups.
